«That girl can sing anything, it is pretty obvious. Anywhere, from the corner coffee-house to the huge theatre-hall, Jordane is a natural fit.»
Jordane is quickly becoming one of the most sought after young singer songwriters in the Province of Québec. Last winter, she appeared on the second season of The Launch on CTV and shared screen time with mentor Bryan Adams.
Last fall, Jordane had a very successful stretch of concerts as the opening act for Serena Ryder's Québec wide Tour. The pair had met and sang together during Jordane's TV appearance on La Voix (Quebec version of The Voice) in 2018. Serena Ryder has even offered original and unreleased songs for Jordane to sing.
« JORDANE IS AN EXPERIMENTED SINGER WITH A RICH TONE AND HUGE VERSATILITY. SHE HAS A SUBTILE UNDERSTANDING OF THE LYRICS AND THE MUSIC. »
After a year marked by closed to hundred performances across Canada aboard Via Rail trains and after participating to the finals of the television program La Voix VI, singer-songwriter Jordane Labrie is ready to get back on the road to continue her journey.
Her folk, blues & jazz repertoire is inspired by many of the truly great artists from the 70's, including Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. The railway tour was a great excuse to release an album of Canadian cover songs entitled Folk Expression. Thousands of copies have been sold across the country. Audiences of all ages, from the East to the West, fell in love with the sounds and arrangements of this album. In January 2019, Jordane also released her first album of original material in French, ’’12 jours’’, recorded with the team of Quebec’s famous storyteller Fred Pellerin.
The artistic community is impressed by Jordane's ease and strength and the quality of her interpretation. Bryan Adams, Serena Ryder and Adam Cohen are among those who recognize her as a gifted singer with a rare sensitivity.
« jordane is the worthy heiress of folk legends Joni Mitchell et Janis Joplin »
